Wachovia’s Giving Away the Dough!
Walking to the office this morning, I passed through Bryant Park and saw that Wachovia is setting up a big event. Seems they are giving away cash and prizes in the Big Money Booth at Bryant Park between 12:30 and 2:30 this afternoon. More to come…

This continues the aggressive marketing approach that Wachovia has taken ever since they moved into Manhattan. After a brief google search, I found that in 2003 the firm held a big press conference (complete with Mayor Bloomberg) to inaugurate their first financial center in NYC.
It’s interesting and somewhat impressive to see a traditionally southern bank continue to push into the north east and challenge traditional NYC firms like Chase and Citibank. With such a large Way2Save set-up, I can only imagine that Bryant Park was even more packed than usual on Thursday.
